The Schreckhorn (4078 m) basks in the last evening light. This beautiful summit is considered the most difficult 4000 metre peak in the Bernese Alps to climb. The normal route is not only long, but also requires good technique and experience in ice and rock.
Its neighbour, the Lauteraarhorn (4042 m), peeks out to the left behind the summit.
