Striking ice figures can be seen on the Fiescher Glacier with the Finsteraarrothorn (3530 m) in the background. The Fiescher Glacier in Valais is the second longest glacier in Switzerland after the Great Aletsch Glacier. It measures a full 14 kilometres. We crossed this giant on our descent from the Finsteraarhorn hut towards Goms in Valais.
